West Africa Cooks are listing this event called Harlequin at William Sitwell's Supper Club at Weston Hall on 2019-06-14 19:00:00
William Sitwell's Supper Club is delighted to release tickets for the next event: a dinner cooked by new and exciting London restaurant Harlequin. Diners will get the chance to enjoy food cooked by up-and-coming culinary star James Erasmus. Chef James recently opened the tiny, but perfectly formed, Harlequin restaurant in Fulham. South-African born, he honed his skills at acclaimed restaurants The Ledbury and The Harwood Arms before opening his first solo venture at the end of 2018. William Sitwell lavished praise on the restaurant when he reviewed it in The Telegraph in February this year: 'Beat a path to its door, wherever you live,' he wrote. Now Harlequin is beating a path to the door of Weston Hall!
The Harlequin dinner will feature an exceptional five-course menu with courses matched with wines specially chosen by Nik Darlington of Red Squirrel Wine, supplier to some of the country’s finest restaurants.
The evening starts with drinks at 7pm in the Orangery and Topiary Garden. Dinner starts at 7.30pm sharp. There'll be delicious cocktails on offer matching Northamptonshire Warner's Gin with delectable Double Dutch tonics as well a delicious sparkling wine, Domaine du Vieux Pressoir Saumur Brut NV. From Saumur in the Loire, this is a sparkling wine in the traditional method with Chenin Blanc from its original home dominating the blend and Chardonnay in the supporting role.
There are also exquisite and thirst-quenching waters: still Acqua Panna and sparkling San Pellegrino.
The ticket price includes all drinks; with cocktails or sparkling wine and red and white wines it's the equivalent of a bottle of wine per person. Additional wine can be purchased on the night.
Beer Bread with Biltong Beef Carpaccio

Cape Malay Style Mackerel Tartare with Cucumber and Radish

Peppermint Crisp Chocolate Tart
Frédéric Guilbaud Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Sur Lie 2017
A renegade young winemaker and a pitch-perfect Muscadet from the Pays Nantais, with enough leesy texture to stand up to smoked goat's curd and if you have any left in your glass then crisp enough to cut through the oiliness of the mackerel tartare.
Marsilea Bobal Joven 2017
These very old, organic Bobal bush vines are grown at high altitude near Valencia, the juiciness of the wine a perfect foil for pork jowl and its classically South African fruity tart accompaniment.
Doors open and drinks are served at 7pm, for seating promptly at 7.30pm, and the dinner ends at 10.30pm. The dress code is: smart casual.
Harlequin offers exceptional vegetarian and vegan dishes so if you prefer alternative dishes or indeed have any other dietary requirements please email: email@example.com
