So which African Nations are going to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil? Five African nations have qualified for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil they are listed:

  1. The Desert Warriors of Algeria play in Group H
  2. Cameroon Indomitable Lions play in Group A
  3. Black Stars of Ghana play in Group G
  4. The Elephants from Ivory Coast, Cote de Ivory play in Group C
  5. Nigeria Super Eagles and continental champions play in Group F

There were three rounds of qualifying for Brazil. The first round found 24 teams trying to make it into the second round of competition, where there were ten groups of four teams. In the third round, the 10 group winners played off over two legs to determine who took Africa's five places in Brazil. Four of these nations are from West Africa, three of these nations are French speaking the others national language in English. The highest FIFA ranking nation is Côte d’Ivoire at 21. This is second time they are have represents the continent at the World Cup. The most experience nation is Cameroon, this is their 6th time in the competition.
