We are excited to host our friends Alyssa and Ian Wolf for the very first time; this Saturday, June 3rd, 1-4pm!

Red Wolf Imports is a small, DC based wine importer that kicked off after a vacation to the South African wine lands. The owners Alyssa and Ian met wonderful people and tasted so many great wines that couldn’t be found on U.S. shores. It is their attempt to shift power back toward the consumer and away from an industry that often cares more about how things were always done than what’s in the bottle.

Sku: 71290 | $11.99
2016 Kaapzicht Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc
Ripe quince, pineapple and stone fruit with some interesting savoury undertones. Lightly textured palate, with a hint of sweetness and balancing crunchy acid, results in a brisk finish

Sku: 69935 | $19.99
2014 Babylonstoren Viognier
This dry, slightly wooded, medium-bodied white wine is creamy with a floral nose and lime zest finish that provides the perfect balance to the depth of wood. Silver medal winner at the 2015 Michelangelo Wine Awards.

Sku: 71289 | $14.99
2016 Babylonstoren Mourvèdre Rosé
An elegant dry wine of a sophisticated salmon colour and delicious hints of raspberries and rose petals. A sip leads to a delightful discovery of creamy strawberry yoghurt, the sweet airiness of candy-floss and a subtle punch of acidity.

Sku: 71291 | $18.99
2013 Kaapzicht Stellenbosch Pinotage
Sweet spice, freshly picked red plums, black cherries and cola are supported by aromatic toasted coconut and milk chocolate from the youthful oak. The bright cored palate of the 2012 shows more elegance and freshness, but retains the characteristic fine grained, polished tannin structure that is accessible and mouth-watering now, but will also develop further complexity with bottle age.

Sku: 71292 | $30.99
2013 Eagles Nest Constantia Shiraz
Vineyard exposure perfectly positioned for a cool climate Shiraz. All grapes hand picked, de-stalked and crushed into medium sized open top fermentors. Wines show deep purple color that is both fresh and lively in character. On the nose, dense aromas of cherry and ripe berry fruit with crushed red pepper kernel tempt the senses. A creamy mouth filling tannin, with hints of toasted coconut and wisps of pepper spice embrace your taste buds and are deliciously dry. Dark berry fruits and warm baking spice enrich the flavour experience one soon realizes that this is a wine of complexity and layering. A truly great wine from mature vineyards that will age gracefully for 15 years from vintage.

Sku: 69972 | $35.99
2014 Babylonstoren Nebukadnesar
(46% cabernet sauvignon, 18% merlot, 15% petit verdot, 12% cabernet franc and 9% malbec)
Our flagship Bordeaux blend is set to be a classic with an intriguing fragrance of violets and thyme. Dry and full-bodied, it is a well-balanced wine with a spicy warmth and intense undertones of blackcurrant and tobacco. Opulent yet sophisticated with a long, compelling finish.
