We have an exciting last minute opportunity to meet Rob McDonald, winemaker from Art + Farm and St. Mayhem Wines!

Rob will be at The Hills Market Downtown from 6-8 on Thursday June 15th pouring through 5 of his delightful creations! Detailed descriptions of each wine will be below.

Chef Kuukua from Asempe Kitchen will also have a small buffet of appetizers and traditional West African Cuisine to snack on. Her food will be delicious paired with the wine!

There will be a $15 fee to taste the 5 wines and an additional $10 fee for the buffet if you wish to taste the food from Asempe Kitchen to help cover her costs. :)

Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. We will also have our #thirstythursday Happy Hour happening at our bar and Land Grant Brewing and Bacca coffee will be giving out free samples as well. :)

St. Mayhem Ginger Loves Company ($24.99) Beautiful, textured Napa Valley and Clarksburg Chardonnay with hints of ripe melon and stone fruit flavors aged with peach and ground dried ginger root. There is a hint of sweetness, balanced beautifully by the natural freshness of the wine and a touch of spice from the ginger.

St. Mayhem Hath No Fury ($24.99) Complex, fresh and aromatic Lake County Sauvignon Blanc with a delicate balance of citrus and tropical notes, aged on fresh cut Jalapeño and Habanero peppers. The Sauvignon Blanc combines beautifully with the Jalapeño aromas and flavors, while the Habanero adds ripe flavors and balance to the back palate. Yes, this wine is a little spicy.

The Girls in the Vineyard Field Blend($17.99) An intoxicating bouquet of summer flowers with ripe apricot and honey. If your nose lingers a bit longer you will pick up citrus and a blush of herbal tea. Lemon and mineral, apricot and peach, orange blossom and spice.

St. Mayhem Wine Geek Breakfast ($24.99) We used Mendocino Merlot to brew a batch of Ritual Roasters "El Angel" Costa Rican Coffee - that's right, we used Merlot instead of water to make the coffee. After brewing, we aged the wine on fresh cut Jalapeños. The Merlot is elegant with plum and blackberry flavors that are enhanced by the rich coffee. The Jalapeño brightens the bold coffee flavors and adds a delicate warmth from the spice.

The Girls in the Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon ($18.99) Lovely rich color with elegant garnet. The smell is a blend of cassis, current and the deepest darkest cherry.  Before you give up the aroma for taste a dash of clove will also reveal itself. You know how a silk scarf can just slip from your shoulder unexpectedly. This middleweight wine delivers glide-from-your-shoulder silkiness.  This is not an accident.  The feeling in your mouth is just a prelude to taste.
