Forager Brewery’s upcoming Chef’s Table is a culinary celebration of the beloved 90’s Cartoon Superhero; Inviting Fresh Culinary Talent to Showcase their best multi-course interpretation of Captain Planet’s 5 Elemental Powers.

Forager is granting each visiting chef full-use and free-reign of their world-class facilities to present their unique creations in an unforgettable prix fix dinner service.

Captain Planet kicks off with series’ creator, Chef Patrick Phelan, who intends to take Rochester’s foodies on a global culinary adventure with his 9-course Menu.

  • Chef Phelan spent the last 2 years meticulously studying Caribbean Cuisine (and it’s West African, Spanish, British, East Indian, Portuguese, Chinese, French and the Dutch origins) alongside Sous Chef Kemar “Bobo” Edwards, a native son of Kingston, Jamaica — who spent his early career in the Island’s top resort kitchens and cocktail lounges.

  • Chef Phelan grew up in his Chicago-based family’s “Little Italy kitchens,” learning Regional Italian Cuisine from what he lovingly calls “an army of Italian oldsters.” After relocating to Saint Paul, Patrick honed his craft under the master tutelage of renowned Chef Peter Ireland — who himself trained at the Michelin 3-Star Georges Blanc Restaurant in Vonnas, France.

  • Chef Phelan incorporates the full catalog of his experience and travels into his prix fix menu. “In just the first of nine courses” he said, “we’re combining flavors and techniques that originate in Jamaica, Mexico, Russia, and Thailand. And thats just the Amuse Bouche!”

  • "Being a celebration of the preeminent cartoon-based environmentalist-superhero,” Chef Phelan playfully proclaimed, “I made every effort to source my menu as close to Rochester as possible, while still delivering an assortment of tastes from the world over.”
