Immerse yourself in Nigerian culture, as we're joined by Chef Segun Odofa.
In this 4 course dinner, Chef Segun Odofa, winner of the 2017 Jollof Festival, will teach you about the stories behind each dish, and what makes them so special.
Get ready to learn about the foods and culture of Nigeria, which even in NYC, is still quite esoteric.
- Chicken Pepper Soup (chicken broth with a mix of vegitables and African spices)
- Jollof rice (rice cooked with tomato paste and a mix of red pepper, coconut milk, and sardines)
- Beef short ribs with buka sauce (beef ribs fried in palm oil with green pepper mix and african spices)
- Nigerian cake
- Complimentary beer and wine
Segun Odofa was born and raised in Western Nigeria. In 2015, he founded and registered his very own catering company, Delicious African Orchards. Since starting his catering company, Segun has been featured on CCTV, NYC News 12, Madame Noire Magazine, Amore Magazine and even worked with Eat Africa - an online food app company. Segun has also successfully catered over 50 weddings, among hundreds of other smaller events, solidifying his presence in the culinary within New York City. Most recently, he participated in the 2017 Jolloff Festival and was announced the winner after providing the judges and patrons with the best tasting Jolloff Rice, served with his famous Buka Sauce.
