October's (Hooray, I love October!) meet up takes us to Old Spitalfield's market, where as of this month, there are suddenly an extra 8 new traders:
- Berber and Q with Middle East and North African food.
- Breddos Tacos. Enough said.
- Barbarian, simple dishes incorporating Asian flavours.
- Dumpling Shack.
- Flank with nose-to-tail beef cooking.
- Happy Endings with ice cream sandwiches & desserts.
- Rök with Nordic-inspired dishes.
- Thousand Knives with vegan and non-vegan Japanese food.
- Sood Family with seasonal fresh pasta dishes.
- Yum Bun with bao buns.
Plus their old regulars listed here: https://www.oldspitalfieldsmarket.com/food-drink-list/street-food
Spitalfields is sort of a tricky venue for the meet up as I can't reserve seating. I've pushed the start time a little earlier than usual so that we can make sure everyone gets a seat. It's undercover, buggy accessible and there's baby change facilities available but no highchairs.
Please reserve one ticket per adult attending, children are included in your ticket.
All parents and care givers welcome, Mums, Dads, Grans, you name it.
Alcohol is sold at some street food venues but there is no exclusive bar at this market, I'm sure we can make do :)
Lastly (and this is entirely optional) as it is Halloween the following night and we are going to be hanging out in Jack the Ripper’s former stomping ground, the baby in the best halloween costume will win a dessert (for Mum or Dad or Gran to consume obvs) from Happy Endings.
It'll be so ghoul (sorry) to see you all again!
(I am pretty sleep deprived all of the time, you try thinking up a halloween pun.)
