We are excited to have Cork and Fork welcome the South African Travel and Wine Lovers Meetup Group for our first wine tasting/masterclass. This event is aimed to host a select gathering of like-minded South African wine, food, and travel lovers who are eager to share wine, stories, laughter, and friendship. We welcome you whether you are an entry-level wine drinker or a well-traveled wine connoisseur. This exclusive and intimate event has been curated by Cork and Fork, and we are honored to have our meetup group participate

South Africa is one of the most prominent wine producing countries in the southern hemisphere. The tasting masterclass will be led by importer Michael Cavanagh, owner of the importing company Cavanagh Imports and specializes only in South African wineries.  He began his relationship with wine working in fine dining restaurants before managing a tasting room for a mid size winery on the east coast.  His work has been featured in Wine Enthusiast, Centurion Magazine, Departures Magazine, The Culture-ist, Palate Press, and others. He has also written for the wine education site and has contributed to books about wineries and restaurants

The South African wines we will sample are carefully hand selected by Michael.  Please consider joining us in the midst of a busy week to unwind and take a break from the routines of your normal day to sample some amazing wines while listening to an incredibly well-informed speaker about regions and varietals you may not yet have visited or tasted.

Tickets are limited!  All sales are final. We will refund the full amount, only if for some reason the event is canceled or reschedled.
