Come join us at Station House's Harvest Station (Rooftop Garden) as we celebrate the end of an amazing year of growing, and help get the garden ready for winter.
From 4-5 PM, we will get our hands dirty in the garden, plant some garlic and harvest some fresh produce to prepare afterwords. You can also get your own garlic bulb to plant in your garden at home. We will plant German Hardneck Garlic, which means you will also have scapes to enjoy in the spring!
From 5-6 PM, we will enjoy drinks and snacks made from ingredients in the garden. We will serve fresh Indian vegetable fritters with accompanying chutneys made by Niraj Ray of Cultivate the City and you will also learn how to prepare collards according to a tradional African recipe, led by Auntie Oye of Oye Palaver Hut, Inc. We will also make mocktails using our fruit-based shrubs, and learn about how to get involved and support local garden projects.
Garden goody bags include a root pouch, plant, garlic bulb and more!
