Our December wine dinner will feature Chef Kuukua of Asempe Kitchen preparing a three course meal of traditional West African fare for your enjoyment. Each dish is specially paired with wine chosen to complement its specific flavor profile.
Guests arrive at 6pm to a glass of sparkling wine, dinner begins at 6:30pm and lasts until about 8pm.
Tatale: Think Banana Bread batter with bananas replaced with ripe plantains and a hint of Ghost Pepper to prepare your palate. With Canah Prosecco Superiore Brut DOCG.
Nkatsi Nkwan: A rich marrying of the art of curry with a nod to satay and brimming with goat and lamb, Asempe Kitchen does a Groundnut soup like none other. With Chateau Lancyre Rosé.
Egusi: A very popular traditional West African dish, Egusi comprises of spinach, melon seeds, and meat. The traditional African Mirepoix of ginger, onions, garlic, enhances the flavor as it all stewed with tomatoes. A meat and vegan option will be available. With Klein Constantia Estate Red Blend.
