Kahawa 1893 is the first farmer and female-owned global brand of East African Coffee. Our goal is to decommoditize coffee so that East Africa farmers, who produce the finest arabica coffees in the world, can earn sustainable income. The differentiation happens during coffee processing and African farmers lag behind due to lack of adequate processing equipment. All profits from this fundraiser will go towards the purchase of a wet mill for Moromba Co-operative in Kenya.
The experience will include:
- An exploration of the journey that coffee takes from farm to cup
- A tasting of hand-crafted coffee with unique processing methods from East Africa
- A class on how to prepare the perfect cup of coffee using a pour over and a Chemex
- Unique holiday gifts
Get in spirit of the holiday season, escape the hustle and bustle of the city and take a "taste safari" with us.
