Preparing and sharing a meal can be an act of resistance.
On Wednesday, January 24th, join us for a special collaboration with Calasag Pop Up as we explore the ways Filipinos and African-Americans relied on resourcefulness and flavor-building techniques to survive and thrive as a people and diaspora. Both communities deal with uniquely brutal histories of colonization and subjugation -- and both are creating delicious and modern food that honors the ingenuity and determination of their ancestors.
The menu features classic Filipino dishes with those flourishes of Modern Soul Food that you've come to love at Ida B's Table. Chef David Thomas (@chef_dkt) and Dylan Ubaldo (@toyomansi_) will share their thoughts with us throughout the evening.
This event will sell out, so buy your tickets today! Tickets include an amuse, 3 courses (details below) and 2 paired cocktails. No substitutions allowed.
