Join us in for an African culinary trip!
This year, we are introducing authentic African food cooking classes. We will be hosting fun cooking classes featuring food from all over Africa! You will get to learn how to make multiple dishes but also learn about the culture behind the food.
For our first session, we will explore a flavorful Senegalese dish, Chicken Yassa! This dish is a favorite not only among Senegalese people but also foreigners. It is made with a well marinated chicken onion sauce and accompanied with steamed white rice. We will use tofu instead of chicken for our dear vegetarian friends.
Still, in the theme of Senegalese food, we will make the famous "bissap" a sorel flower juice also known as hibiscus.
During this class, you will learn how to cook but also discuss the importance of cooking in Senegal. The class will be taught by Aida Dia, a Senegalese born young woman, and great cook! She is excited to share parts of her culture with you so, hurry and get your tickets for a unique experience
