Stirring the Pot: A Watermen and Whiskey Dinner celebrates the legacy of Hampton Roads African-American Oystermen and Fishermen.
An innovative four course dinner features the traditional local catch of the Watermen of Hampton Roads, and each course will be paired with whiskey and spirits from Copper and Oak Craft Spirits.
Four leading and emerging Hampton Roads based African-American chefs will prepare the courses-

Christopher Skipper Chef/Owner at Chef Skip 757
Justin Freeman Cook at Alkaline
Special Guest Wisteria Perry of the Mariner's Museum and Park will speak about the history of Hampton Roads African-American Watermen, and Southern Grit Managing Editor Debra Freeman will speak about the Watermen of the Suffolk community of Hobson.
