VIP Tour of the Foodways Exhibits
at the National Museum of African American History and Culture
before the Museum opens to the general public
and a Dutch-treat meal afterwards in the Museum's Sweet Home Cafe,
then explore the museum on your own!
We will meet for a Dutch-treat meal in the museum's Sweet Home Cafe after the tour. The cafe features traditional, authentic African American offerings as well as present-day food traditions. Executive Chef Jerome Grant designed the menu to include classic dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Four distinct lunch stations each tell the story of the regional food offerings.
