Food is more than just fuel for the body. My dining experiences allow people to socialize, learn, and experience new cultures. I make sure my menu represents the multitude of cultures Afrocuisine covers. From native/traditional African food to the Caribbean and Latin Food with African roots, Afrocuisine has its presence around the globe. I want people to learn about African people beyond what we see or read on the news. A continent with rich cultures, a melting pot of traditions, neighboring nations has historical and cultural influences on African food.

After many years of cooking as an amateur chef, I came to appreciate the extent to which African culture influenced the world. I was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country with Belgian colonial and Middle Eastern trading influences. It is difficult to avoid culture fusion, especially when it comes to food. As a first generation African Immigrant growing up in New York City, I am an advocate for cultural appreciation. My guests will experience African cuisine as a global phenomenon. The art, the history, and tradition that make our food so unique and delicious.
