MasterChef critic and custodian of Weston Hall, William Sitwell, invites you to join him at his beautiful country home for his next Weston Supper Club on Friday 25th January. This special evening promises to be a magnificent Scottish feast proudly celebrating BURNS NIGHT with Boisdale of London.


The ever popular Jazz and Scottish restaurant, Boisdale, is excited to be coming to Weston to celebrate this traditional Scottish evening. Guests will enjoy scrumptious canapés in the Drawing Room and Library at Weston Hall before sitting down in one of the three stunning entertaining rooms for a carefully created menu with both whisky and wonderful wines. Flowers come courtesy of OKA.


Menu
Boisdale’s Executive Chef, Andy Rose, will be treating guests to wild venison fritters with pecorino and crab on toast. Starters boast Boisdale's Bowmore whisky-cured smoked salmon and roast Dumfriesshire Blackface Haggis with bashed neeps and tatties will follow. Mouthwatering Roast Scottish fillet of dry aged Buccleuch Beef will be served for our main course with Oxtail pithivier, winter greens with a claret and shallot sauce. A traditional Cranachan will be our final course, served with Scottish shortbread.


Drinks


Water, as ever, is deliciously still Acqua Panna and sparkling San Pellegrino.


Guests can choose between gin and tonics or fizz before dinner. Sip Northamptonshire-made Warner Edwards gin twinned with tonics by Double Dutch.


The sparkling aperitif for this event is our favourite fizzy Muscadet. Frédéric Guilbaud "Les Perles de Folie" Vin Mousseux NV, is made by one Frédéric Guilbaud whose sparkling wine is made in the Champagne method from local Melon de Bourgogne grapes and is bound to get your night off on the right foot.


The wines for the night, meanwhile are a white Laventura Rioja Blanco 2014: a new wave white Rioja that oozes class and sophistication, by émigré South African winemaker Bryan MacRobert. And the red from the same winemaker is Laventura Rioja Tinto 2014. This is MacRobert's silky, elegant Rioja which combines Tempranillo and Garnacha from higher altitude vineyards inaccessible by vehicle.


Book tickets today through Eventbrite (£85). Tickets can be booked individually or tables of 2, 4, 6, 8, 12 or 16 can be booked.


An important note on drinks. The ticket price includes all the drinks mentioned above. That can mean a couple of gins and tonics or two glasses of fizz, then a glass or two of red red and white wine and a glass of whisky. We also often offer a cocktail trolley for which additional digestivs and cocktails are priced at £5 and £8 respectively. Further bottles of house red and white wines (a white burgundy and a red bordeaux) are priced at £25 a bottle.


We love that people really get into the swing of things at the Weston Supper Club and are keen sippers. We reckon that the drinks included in the ticket price form the equivalent of a bottle of wine per head and we are very careful to ensure that every guest gets their fair share. If at the event you genuinely feel that you have missed out on a glass please ask your waitress if you can speak with events manager Zoe, who will come and chat with you and recitify any vital sipping-related dispute. Experience shows us that even our most cherished newbies sometimes feel that they have fallen a tad short of the apportioned amount of alcohol - before finding themselves unsteady on their feet and subsequently, on departure, falling out of the house. Our aim is for you to have a wonderful time and we are very careful to ensure that we are as generous with drinks as the all-inclusive ticket price allows. Our repeat customers reassure us that we indeed fulfil our promise of a steady and responsible flow of alcohol.

FAQs


What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?


There is parking at the front of the house. Entrance for cars is via open gates and lodge on Plumpton Road. Postcode NN12 8PU will bring you into the village. Note the entrance for cars is not via the gates opposite the village green, but via the lodge entrance on Plumpton Road.
