Pop Up Africa is an African Inspired Pop-Up events company. The aim of making the African retail and culinary industries more available to a broader audience resulted in the pop up events such as, 'Africa at Spitalfield's,' which after its launch in 2013 has seen stall holders take their brand from the market stall to the shelves of Tesco. Also the newly launched 'African Food and Drink Takeover' as part of Africa Utopia at the Southbank Centre.
Due to demand, Pop Up Africa are excited to announce the launch of its new Food Club, a consortium of 'Pop Up Africa approved' African Food and Drink Traders, available for events hire.
Founder and Director Jessica Laditan says;
We're so pleased that our aim of making African/ African inspired products more available to a wider market is really taking off, the demand is evident, we've seen more and more people looking to us for good quality, contemporary African food and drink vendors so it made sense to start matching our pool of traders to new opportunities.
The British public love food and have done so for a long time, the increase in travel means that people are more open to trying new cuisines and African Food seems to be hot on the market. Pop Up Africa's current food crush is Chuku's, the London based Nigerian Tapas kitchen, who's menu includes, chinchin cheese cake and okra and feta pies, Chuku's reflects where African food is going, we're taking our traditional recipes and shaking it up.
The Pop Up Africa Food Club is open for vendors to sign up and event organisers looking for contemporary African/ African Inspired food, an alternative to event catering.
