Exactly a year ago, I had a vision to 'Bring Nigerian Street Food To A Global Market' and proudly launched Tee's Food Corner at the 'African Food and Drink Takeover at Africa Utopia, Southbank. It was such an amazing feeling to have so many people from all different cultures and walks of life enjoying some of our delicious street food that I grew up eating. This year, due to popular demand, we are adding the beloved Jollof Rice and other equally delicious meals to our menu alongside our street food offerings.

Pay-Me Oliver makes the best jollof rice in the world and you did nothing to stop him. This is no joke. Do a search on jollof rice and see who comes top. The fat-tongued school cook Oliver has built an empire with his celebrity status, he earns a small fortune by regurgitating recipe books. He comes out top of the list of results. So #jollofgate is it a conspiracy?

Ask a British person for their favourite place to have a meal out, and they are just as likely to name a Chinese or an Indian restaurant as a fish and chip shop. But nowadays food from other parts of the world is becoming very fashionable in the United Kingdom - including cuisine from Africa. West Africa Cooks have discovered that there are plenty of tasty and authentic African foods in London as supper club restaurateurs are helping to develop a positive image of Africa in the minds of the city's diners.

How did it all start?
It started the night after I waited two hours for jerk chicken that was meant to be ready in ā€œanother fifteen minutesā€ at a garden party at the end of last year summer and in so doing missed the act I went there to see, Femi Kuti!
On getting home I went online and took steps that led to the implementation of an idea that I had been thinking about for over a year. This was the genesis of Teeā€™s Food Corner with the vision of ā€œbringing Nigerian food to a global audienceā€.

Three reasons why you should take up a traders stall at Spitalfields in May 2016

  1. The glass ceiling, diversity and inclusion at your work in positions of power in management. Frustrated? See Hollywood boycott, ā€Ŗ#ā€Žblacklivesmatterā€¬, the gender, ethnic pay gap and gender pricing
  2. No pension in your future, so start your life time business now. Build the future today. Never retire. Support your family with flexibility
  3. Real opportunities exist for first, second and third generation African and Caribbean entrepreneurs
