Pulling into the main Sierra Leone Port in Freetown a cargo ship with the name China Shipping. It's March 2013 and goods are arriving on mass. We know where is came from, there is no doubt that the owner wants us to know who they are and they have no secrets. What is in the hold of this massive ship from China? How many of these ships have arrived in the West African country this past year?

It is surrounded by six countries in the north is Mali, to the south is Ghana which is on the coast of West Africa, north east is Niger. Burkina Faso, once known as Upper Volta, and as the longtime kingdom of the Mossi people. French forces colonized this part of West Africa in 1896. In 1958, the region achieved self-governance, becoming the Republic of Upper Volta, and by 1960 had gained complete independence from France. Burkina Faso means "the country of honorable people". Its capital is Ouagadougou.
