Africa On The Square London 2017

Africa on the Square returns to Trafalgar Square for the fourth time on Saturday 14th October.

The London Taste of Africa Group will visit Africa On The Square London 2017 on Saturday 14th October at 12:30 till 18.00. This meetup group aims are to bring people together through celebrating food from across Africa and African culture. You can sign up to this group by searching the website www.meetup.com. Past events have included festivals like Africa Utopia, Africa At Spitalfields and Africa Centre Summer Festival; supper clubs like Jason's Little Kitchen and Tokunbo’s Kitchen and there have been visits to Senegalese, Ethiopian and Nigerian restaurants for dinning.

The event during Black History Month 2017 is a free day out organised by the Mayor of London. Last year large crowd on the Saturday showed people love African culture and eating African food in London. I saw that there were hungry, happy, sociable large numbers of people and our meetup group members attended too.

This popular event in October celebrates African arts and culture. There will be a range of activities highlighting communities from across the continent. If you have never been you can expect a fantastic line-up of entertainment on the day including live music, DJs, dancing and a talent show, plus an African market, food stalls, fashion show and lots of fun. This Black History Month event is about African descendants telling their own story.

We need more black entrepreneurs just like the traders who feed us all in 2016 named above. Why? We need more leaders like you. Yes you are reading this article. What is inspiration? it is found in people creating empowerment, employment and wealth. Making money for legacy which creates well being for yourself and others.

..and for your future self. Business, culture and heritage‬.

So our people not only have to be re-educated to the importance of supporting black business, but the black man himself has to be made aware of the importance of going into business. And once you and I go into business, we own and operate at least the businesses in our community. What we will be doing is developing a situation wherein we will actually be able to create employment for the people in the community. And once you can create some employment in the community where you live it will eliminate the necessity of you and me having to act ignorantly and disgracefully, boycotting and picketing some place else trying to beg him for a job.

Anytime you have to rely upon your enemy for a job you’re in bad shape.

History tells us that white slave masters had favorite slaves but he never bequeathed his wicked enterprise down to his human property. His free blood son inherited his legacy, the plantation farmland and slaves. This happened down the generations in law and his family become wealthy. An income stream was made increasing efficient over the years. Assets were acquired and the next generation built up power and influence on this system. The results is what you see today.
